LEASE OF LIFE?

The newly formed Dar es Salaam Water and Sewerage Corporation (DAWASCO) has spelled out strategies to deal with the water problems in the city in a Hundred Days Rescue Plan, following the exit of City Water a couple of months ago. DAWASCO is likely to face an enormous task.
In the rescue plan, which was touched off last week, the corporation has identified a number of priority areas for remedying the situation, including revenue improvement, leakage control, strategic metering and improvement of the billing system.
